Home   About   Timeline   The Book

The process used to select the top 20 engineering achievements of the 20th century was made possible through the support of the United Engineering Foundation, the National Academy of Engineering, American Association of Engineering Societies, National Engineers Week, and 27 contributing engineering professional societies.  These funds also supported the development and launch, in 2000, of the www.greatachievements.org website.

Funds to support the development, publication, and marketing of Century of Innovation were provided by NAE member Robert A. Pritzker, president and chief executive officer of Colson Associates, Inc.  NAE used proceeds from book sales to expand and improve the website.  The new version of the site, whose content now matches that of the book, was launched in early 2005.
